2022 Salvation Army State of the Nation Report
The Salvation Army’s Social Policy and Parliamentary Unit (SPPU) recently produced its 15th annual State of the Nation Report – Navigating the Rapids. For 15 years the State of the Nation report has measured progress, stagnation and at time regression of the health of communities, whanau and individuals.
IPANZ invited Lt Col. Ian Hutson, Director of the SPPU and Paul Barber, Social Policy Analyst and report co-author to outline the analysis findings and trends of the report, and to offer insights and reflections about how government can make a difference for communities, families and individuals in the future.
