Five more innovative projects to be implemented thanks to the Government of Poland. This year the projects are in agriculture, water and sanitation, food industry, environmental sustainability, and technology.

Great #sustainablefoodsystems debate this morning with EURACTIV and thought-provoking panellists. The consensus was that a more sustainable food system must include a reduction in animal production and consumption, and a significant increase of fruits, vegetables, wholegrains, legumes, nuts and seeds in people's diets. We believe alternative products to meat and dairy play an important role in the transition towards healthier and more sustainable diets, as people look for tasty foods. We need goals for procurement, better food environments, more accurate prices and removal of VAT difference, other barriers (such as denomination restrictions) and a real commitment and target for 2030. "The future of agriculture in the EU - assessing the state of agri-food policy and what could lie ahead for the next Commission" was the subject at an excellent and inspiring conference organized by the Representation of Flanders and Think Tank EUROPA.   Despite the lack of equality in the panel 😅, there was agreement that the green transition will also be high on the agenda for the next Commission and EU-Parliament.   Good open dialogue with all stakeholders is imperative, as is thorough preparation in the Commission with a view to ensuring the right balances between the many different challenges we face in the EU.

Great to see the development of the Geospatial Data Sharing (GDS) Protocol as a first step in providing a consistent framework to improve assessments related to deforestation and product traceability.

It's great to observe the establishment of a Geospatial Data sharing protocol. This has the potential to greatly facilitate the successful implementation of EUDR and enhance transparency in the supply chain.
